GEOLAB will be hosting its Annual Networking Event, at the premises of Radisson Blu Nydalen, Oslo, Norway. The event will be held on 29th November 2023.
The event will consist of a series of workshops delivered by GEOLAB with a specific focus on Joint Research and Innovation. Dedicated workshops will be delivered by the University of Cambridge, TU Delft, ETH Zurich, Deltares, CEDEX, NGI, Technical University of Darmstadt, University Gustave Eiffel and the University of Maribor.
As part of the Networking Event, GEOLAB will host innovation and foresight study workshops, with a special focus on critical infrastructure (CI) owners/managers and policymakers. Background to this session is that CI owners and policy makers have a key role to play in identifying current trends, needs and policy regarding CI in Europe. CI owners and policy makers can be the enablers of innovations by assisting in overcoming barriers and cooperating on finding demonstration project sites. The experiments carried out in GEOLAB facilities provide crucial scientific evidence on which to base decision making about managing critical infrastructure.
The structure of the panel will involve 3-4 critical infrastructure owners and policy makers involved in the CI sphere in a Q&A format which will allow for questions from attendees.
