GEOLAB is Hosting its First Networking Event in Madrid

GEOLAB is organising its first hybrid Networking Event on December 1, 2021, with physical attendance at CEDEX (CETA Building), Madrid, Spain.

Dedicated workshops will be delivered by the University of Cambridge, TU Delft, ETH Zurich, Deltares, CEDEX, NGI, Technical University of Darmstadt, University Gustave Eiffel and the University of Maribor. Esteemed guest speakers will also be presenting on the day.

The Event will be followed by GEOLAB’s first 2-day training workshop, part of the Next Generation of Researchers Initiatives, funding 15 researchers to attend the event hosted by CEDEX on the 2nd and 3rd of December.

GEOLAB is an European network of renowned institutes bringing together six geo-centrifuges and six other large research facilities: a geo-model container, a pile foundation test pit, a static liquefaction tank, a railway track simulator, a large-scale triaxial apparatus and a set of field test sites. The project is funded by the European Commission Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme. The overarching aim of GEOLAB is to perform ground-breaking research & innovation that enhances the resilience of Europe’s Critical Infrastructure.
