December 2021: Selection of proposals for access to the GEOLAB research facilities

In June 2021, GEOLAB launched its First Call for Proposals for potential users among academia, SME and industry to gain access to our excellent research facilities in the fields of geotechnical and environmental engineering. The Call for Proposals was supported by GEOLAB’s first webinar on Transnational Access Activities which provided a detailed overview of the call for proposal mechanisms and the features of the unique experiment installations available in the GEOLAB research infrastructure. The deadline for proposals was October 10th, 2021 and soon thereafter, each proposal was reviewed by a group of independent experts (the User Selection Panel).

We are pleased to announce the 14 successful proposals who will benefit from free of charge access to the facilities as well as covered travel and subsistence expenses (within prescribed limits). Each lead user group will receive access to state-of-the-art measuring instruments, data-acquisition and processing systems, as well as modern support facilities, such as library, computers, and internet access. Furthermore, visiting researchers are offered a scientific and intellectual environment, with assistance and guidance from experts at the host institute.
